And even a spray nozzle that’s not quite facing in the correct direction:

Looks like a late 80s early 90s European fwd sporty wagon or hatch. I’m guessing it’s an Audi, since it appears to have upscale features but also looks very German.

Not sure I’d call it upscale, to be perfectly honest.

Aww I actually felt very good about that one. VW Fox? I am thinking it is VAG based in what I can see if the instrument cluster and wheels. Looks too formal to be French as is mentioned below and that spoiler looks familiar. Very similar to the Scirocco someone I knew had.

I like your idea; Fox, Audi 4000, Scirocco but none of those had the angle on the inner margin of the headlights.

It’s not VAG. :D

Or French for that matter.

I don't know. I think it is a competitor to one of the cars I mentioned. Maybe Ford UK? I still think it looks very German.

Think less Ford, less UK and less German (I know what the car is!) :P

Though.....there WAS one UK engine as an option...

Not German, French, or UK means it might be Japanese. Nissan Pulsar?

Is it a Nissan? I don't know this era all that well but I'm thinking Pulsar.

Those taillights looks familiar. BMW 3 series hatch? Too modern. Maybe a little bit of Scandinavian look to it? I can’t think of a Volvo or Saab or anything that has those headlights and taillights with a hatch.

Japan seems the most likely candidate but they were past imitating the Europeans by this point. Huh, I'm stumped.

“The FSO Polonez is a motor vehicle that was developed in Poland in collaboration with Fiat and produced by Fabryka Samochodów Osobowych from 1978 to 2002. It was based on the Polski Fiat 125p   platform with a new hatchback design by Giorgetto Giugiaro .”

Wow. I was partially right.

Now that you told us what it is, what is that two pronged thing? Is that a key?!

It's a gearbox lock. Locks the car in reverse to make it supposedly more difficult to steal.
